Let's practice radical self-care which looks like

  • Finding peace amidst chaos
  • Becoming fiercely protective of your own happiness and well-being
  • Learning to say "no" to those things that don't feed your soul and compromise your joy
  • Creating and maintaining healthy boundaries
  • Letting go of toxic relationships
  • Searching for purpose and meaning even while enduring painful circumstances
  • Practicing self-compassion 
  • Loving yourself, the authentic you and not the "you" others think you are or the "you" that you wish you were

Feminist Audre Lorde provocatively captures the essence of self-care:

"Caring my self is not self-indulgence. It is self-preservation, and that is an act of political warfare."
